Safety aspects of Medical Devices

The Irish Medicines Board has launched 6 patient information leaflets on the safety aspects of medical devices .

The aim of the leaflets is to highlight key safety issues relating to the purchase and use of medical devices. The leaflets also provide information on what to do if a medical device does not work or causes harm to the user. One of the leaflets focuses specifically on the topic of implantable medical devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators.
