Climb Kilmanjaro Africa’s highest mountain- a magnet for trekkers and climbers the world over. This challenging trek takes us along the beautiful Machame route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the south, through dense tropical rainforest all the way up to the mighty snow capped summit at 5896m for simply breathtaking views. This is a tough but spectacularly rewarding route. On reaching the summit you will feel a sense of overwhelming achievement, a truly unforgettable challenge !

- The fundraising target is €4,995
- The cost of your place is €2,595
- With €2,400 coming directly back to the IHF
What’s included in the cost?
- All flights, transfers, accommodation
- A qualified doctor, experienced guides, porters and support staff for personal equipment
- All camping equipment, all National Park entrance fees
- Nutritious meals and drinking water will be provided for you as you climb Kilimanjaro
- A series of training walks will be provided before the you climb Kilimanjaro!

Do I need to be fit to Climb Kilimanjaro?
YES! This is a tough challenge and requires a good level of fitness to be able to complete the route. Participants must train to increase their strength and stamina.
Where will my money go?
- Money raised from Climb Kilimanjaro 2012 will go towards our F.A.S.T Stroke campaign.
- Unfortunately, we all know someone that has been effected by heart disease or stroke..
- Heart disease and stroke kill more people than cancer, suicide and road deaths combined.
- Around 10,000 people will have a stroke in Ireland this year. Over 2,000 will die and thousands more will be left disabled. But a significant proportion of this death and disability is avoidable. By creating awareness about stroke we hope to lower these rates and with your help this will be possible.
