As a charity working hard to seek donations from the public we, the Irish Heart Foundation aim to comply with the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising.

It is really important to us that we maintain the best standardswhen receiving donations from our generous supporters. These principles will enable you as our supporter to maintain a full level of support and appreciation from the Irish Heart Foundation. Our pledge to donors is that we promise to treat all of our donors with respect, honesty and openess. There will always be someone in the office to answer any queries you may have.

We commit to being accountable and transparent so that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the Irish Heart Foundation. We promise we will effectively apply your gifts to us for their intended purposes.

We commit that you, our donors and prospective donors will:

• Be informed of our mission and of they waythe organisation intends to use donated resources.
• Be informed of the identity of those serving on the governing board and that they board will exercise prudent judgement in its stewardship responsibilities.
• Have access to the organisation's most recent financial statement, click here for our annual report
• Be assured that your girfts will be used for the purposes for which they are given
• Recieve appropriate acknowledgement and recognition within 5 working days
• Be assured that information about your donatio is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by the law.
• Expect that all relationships with individuals representing a charity will be dealt with professionaly. It is IHF policy that all fundraisers employed will be members of Fundraising Ireland, FI code of conduct
• Be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees or third party agesnts, read our disclosure statement
• Have easily available the agreed procedures for making and responding to complaints,
• Recieve prompt, truthful and forthright answeres to any questions you may have about the Irish Heart Foundation
