Every year Transition Year students help the Irish Heart Foundation raise huge amounts of money by getting out and collecting all over the country.

Fundraise in School!
Do you believe your Transition Year Students are ready to make a difference?
Well how about they get involved with The Irish Heart Foundation’s upcoming Happy Heart Weekend! Part of the program includes an educational talk about Heart Disease, Stroke, Lifestyle and how their efforts will assist The Irish Heart Foundation’s vital services. The second part will have the students volunteering by collecting in their community or bag packing at their local supermarket or shopping centre.
We will provide you with a fundraising pack, heart badges, t-shirts and details on local collection points and you can choose what day(s) you would like to volunteer. Students can take on a rota system that will ensure everyone has a fun and inspiring experience.
Other ways that you can fundraising for Happy Heart Weekend?
- Selling hearts: we'll send you our happy hearts to sell to staff and students for €2 each!
- Organising an event:
- Non-Uniform or ‘Wear Red Day’- students and staff wear red and donate €2 for the privilege! Just pick a date, tell the students and dig out your red clothes.
- Cake or Jumble Sale. All proceeds from the sale go to the Irish Heart Foundation
- School Disco or Fashion Show- Throw a social events for all students and run a raffle or auction at the event!
- A Sponsored Silence!
- Shorts and Shades Day
