See her winning skipping rhyme below:
Skipediedooda, Skipedieday,
I can skip right through the day.
Don’t ask me to stop, because I won’t,
I’m going to go as fast as a bolt.
I will do it again and again,
I won’t stop till the end.
Skip with your hula-hoop,
Skip with your rope,
Don’t be shy, get out and play,
Keen on skipping for the whole day.
If you do a Skipathon for the Irish Heart Foundation,
You will realise it is a great association.
It helps people with Strokes,
It helps Heart disease,
So I’m begging you to help them please.
Please help them, please be nice,
If you do you’ll be sugar and spice.
Please be helpful, please be good,
Do it right and you’ll do good.
Please sponsor with a donation
And give it to the Irish Heart Foundation

What is Skipathon?
Skipping is taking Irish schools by storm!
Skipathon is a fun programme for primary schools that has been promoting the benefits of physical activity for young people in Ireland since 1984.
Early participation in fun physical activity is vital for developing healthy lifestyle habits in later life. People who practice heart healthy lifestyle are less likely to suffer from heart disease.
Skipathon 2010 is taking part from April 19th – 23rd. If these dates are not ideal for your school they can run it on another date. Please note that all entries must be in before the draw for prizes which takes place on 24th of May 2010.
This year the top prize for taking part in Skipathon is a trip to Eurodisney for the lucky winner and 2 adults valued at €1,500. There are 5 BMX burner sports cycles and safety helmets to be won also.
You can also enter our Skipping Rhyme competition and be in with a chance to lead your provincial rugby team out onto the rugby pitch in Autumn 2010.
Skipathon raises vital funds for the Irish Heart Foundation, making a significant contribution to the funding of our children’s health promotion programmes such as Action for Life , Bizzy Breaks and Get Kids on the Go (see back of brochure). Each school receives 10% of the funds raised for their own school projects. The Irish Heart Foundation is 90% funded by public donations.
