The Statement of Guiding Principles - Where they came from
The Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundriasing is a guide to best practice that has been developed by a steering group set up in response to the Charities Act 2009. It is a voluntary statement of intent that we, as fundraisers for the Irish Heart Foundation, fully intend to follow and lead others to do the same.
It is important to us as a national charity who rely on the goodwill and generosity of the public, to instill a sense of openness, honesty and transparency amognst such valuable donors. It is not enough that we uphold what is expected of us by law, we intend to do out very best to provide the best services and how the utmost respect to our donors.
